How to boost your man’s fertility, because it takes two to tango!

As a male practitioner in a natural fertility clinic, I am enthusiastic about advising and helping couples fall pregnant. Most of my day though, is spent assisting and educating women how to best boost their fertility. But one thing I find many women love, are tips to take home for their partner. There is no doubt that women take a much more active approach with fertility health and it’s about time men got as enthusiastic about falling pregnant, prior to the bedroom.

It is great when couples either come in together or separately for tailored treatments, as there are so many simple natural ways to boost fertility, but here are a few tips for men and how best to recommend it to your man.

Kimchi – a pungent jar of goodness!

Hippocrates once said ‘all illness begins in the gut’. You will hear this repeated (or should hear this repeated) often when you visit any health care practitioner. So how can I best pamper my gut?

We know that probiotic foods such as yoghurts, sauerkraut and miso soups are delicious and rich with beneficial bacteria for gut health, but kimchi may have even more benefits for a healthy gut and healthy body.

Kimchi is the national dish of Korea and has been known for its nutritional and health benefits for centuries. So delightfully good for your health, it was demanded by people during times of war, during the SARS outbreak and even taken into space. It’s not only full of probiotic goodness, but also a great source of Vitamin C, carotene, Vitamin A, B vitamins, calcium, iron and fibre depending on the ingredients used when you make it. As most Kimchi is also mildly spiced with chilli, it also helps keep your metabolism moving along.

If you believe that stress management means never feeling stressed and never experiencing negative emotions, you are setting yourself up for imminent failure! We are meant to feel a whole spectrum of emotions, both positive and negative.
